Buchholz And Ellsbury At McCoy

McCoy Stadium (7.8) Clay Buchholz and Jacoby Ellsbury are scheduled to continue their Triple-A rehab assignments today at McCoy Stadium when the Pawtucket Red Sox host the Syracuse Chiefs. It looks like tickets are still available for today’s game — $7 general admission for adults, beat that. According to the ProJo, Buchholz will be limited to about 40 pitches following an extended hospitalization for esophagitis. Meanwhile, Ellsbury started in center last night going 0-4 following a stint in Portland rehabbing a partially dislocated shoulder.

And one day after being called up from Pawtucket infielder Pedro Ciriaco was taking it to the Yankees in last night’s come-from-behind 9-5 victory at Fenway with four hits and four RBI’s. Go here to watch the highlights. It was a great night for rookie Mauro Gomez as well, also recently called up from Pawtucket.

PawSox vs. Chiefs, 1:05pm, Saturday, July 8, game airs on NESN
