Debate — Cicilline V. Gemma

Nazarian Center (8.28) The 2012 Congressional Primary Debate takes place tonight at Rhode Island College and you could attend; or watch the broadcast live on WPRI 12.

Candidates vying for the democratic nomination for Rhode Island’s First Congressional District: incumbent congressman David Cicilline and challenger Anthony Gemma will face off Tuesday, August 28, 2012, in a Campaign 2012 debate broadcast live on WPRI 12 and WPRI.com from 8-9 p.m. There will also be exclusive bonus coverage from 9-9:30 p.m. live streaming on WPRI.com with the candidates staying to answer questions.

It will be moderated by Target 12 Investigator and “Newsmakers” host Tim White. He’ll be joined by WPRI.com reporter, Ted Nesi and Edward Achorn of the Providence Journal. The debate will be at Rhode Island College in Providence.

Seating will be limited — click here to register or to submit a question. Organizers add, “Please plan to arrive between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to be seated. Signs or noisemakers will not be permitted. WPRI reserves the right to deny entry to any individual and/or remove any disruptive individuals.” (Also known as the Christopher Young rule.)
