Application deadline February 1st for the Trinity Rep Student Playwriting Competition. Grades 9 through 12 only.
Trinity Rep’s Education Department is again hosting the ‘Write Here, Write Now!’ competition for young playwrights. Students from all New England high schools are invited to submit an original short play (6–10 pages) by February 1st, 2013. Entries will be reviewed by Trinity Rep staff and winners will be announced on March 1st.
Winning playwrights will work with Trinity Rep staff members in a play development session before having their play read by professionally-trained actors in front of an audience of their friends and family in the spring of 2013. Winners will also receive a scholarship towards any Trinity Rep Young Actors Studio after-school class. Each winner’s school will receive 20 free tickets to a Project Discovery student matinee performance during the 2013–2014 season.
Plays should be submitted in 12pt Times New Roman font.
