Detroit Rebellion EP-Party At What Cheer

detroit rebellion (3.9) What Cheer Antiques intends to start hosting in-store live music events starting this Saturday with Detroit Rebellion who will be releasing their new EP “Fork in the Road.” Detroit Rebellion is described at Louder Than War as

. . . alternative dirty bluesy rock, heavy on the reverb & distortion. Detroit Rebellion do the “dirty” really well. We’re in rolling around in it territory here. Their music’s gritty Americana, a genre very much in vogue at the moment, but despite being seemingly nailed down into quiet a narrow box genre wise (by me, just) the tracks on their recently released EP demonstrate a lot of variety, from seriously stripped down, lo-fi, slower tracks to great chugging, rolling numbers.

Sponsored by Narragansett Beer. It’s a party.

4pm, Saturday, March 9, What Cheer Antiques (FB), Angell at Thayer Street (above Chipotle)
