(10.20) Frequency Writers is holding its first literary festival, “Feed the Writers,” this Sunday at AS220.
How do you feed the aspiring poets, novelists, and scribblers of southeastern New England? By supporting Frequency Writers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering affordable, creative writing workshops, and sponsoring readings, talks, and other free events that give local writers a platform to share their work.
The event will feature lots of tasty free food, cash bar, a silent auction of covetous-making items, a book raffle, short performances, Real Live Writers tucked into every corner of the room, ready to write for you on demand for a pittance, and a few surprises.
Come eat, drink, be entertained, and win some great books or arts-related loot. Enjoy the company of other local writers, book lovers, and arts supporters, and support a burgeoning literary community in the process.
Tickets at the door: $50 for Patrons of the Arts, $10 for Bibliophiles, and $2 for Starving Writers. All proceeds go to support Frequency Writers.
5pm to 7pm, Sunday, October 20, AS220, 95 Empire Street
