(11.21) Operation Clean Government, a local good-government group, is hosting a public forum Thursday on the pros and cons of calling for a state Constitutional Convention.
In 2014, Rhode Island voters will decide whether they want there to be a constitutional convention to reform the state constitution.
The purpose of this forum is to discuss the pros and cons of holding a constitutional convention to change the way state government does business.
If approved, dozens of delegates from across the state would study and debate the state constitution. They would then make recommendations requiring voter approval.
