Avoid the crowds. The PawSox Pro Shop at McCoy Stadium has gifts at all price points. There is not much in the women’s apparel area but many of the men’s shirts (most of which are available in Large, X-Larger, XXX-Larger, and “Step Away From the Nachos”) make good ladies lounge wear. I have my eye on a red scrum tee. Some of the tee and hoodie graphics and colors are in a pleasingly muted retro style, while the ‘Hometown Collection’ features old-timey minor league teams of yore like the Providence Grays and the Portland Beavers.
Whether it was a lack of vision or licensing difficulties, the PawSox never did capitalize on that cool green tee worn by Melissa McCarthy in “The Heat.” Seems like it would have been a good cross-promotion opportunity.
