(5.31) The Hope Street Spring Block Party returns this year with two stages of music, lively activities, food trucks, sidewalk sales, restaurant specials and the popular “Beers for Ballet” Beer Garden, featuring seven local breweries and benefiting Festival Ballet. New this year to the Spring Block Party is a fashion show with local models strolling a catwalk sporting a variety of wares and styles from the streets’ businesses.
Live music from Ravi Shavi, Jay Berndt and the Orphans, Gym Shorts, the Atlantic Thrills, Huge Face, Classical High School Jazz Band, Extraordinary Rendition Band, and more. The street will be closed to traffic with music at both the 5th Street and Rochambeau ends.
Hay rides, fire truck, children’s activities, street painting, and gift certificates valued at more than $500 to be raffled.
