Art, Music, Performance At MWM

(6.29) Machines With Magnets — Last chance to see an amazing installation ‘Strings in the Terrible Distance’ by Catherine Mary Hood as well as a music and sound performance with the Bosch Hurdy-Gurdy & other strings by Steve Jobe and the Bosch Ensemble featuring Christopher Sadlers, Chris Monti, Rachel Rosenkrantz Riemer and Flannery Brown.

‘Strings in the Terrible Distance’ features new work: ‘Continuum: The Emptiness Around Things and the Conceivable Depth Within Them’, a site-specific, immersive installation of 25,000 linear feet of string, and two new drawing series, ‘Every Center is an Illusion’ and ‘Strings in the Terrible Distance’. Conversing in contrasts, these bodies of work simultaneously explore cosmos and chaos, microcosms and universes, existence and vortices, surreality and viscerality, consciousness and unified systems of information…

Closing reception, $5 suggested donation, 6pm to midnight, Sunday, June 29, Machines With Magnets, 400 Main Street, Pawtucket, Facebook
