(7.12) Full 80-brazier lighting tonight. Tonight on the Music Stage at the corner of Steeple and Canal — Sidy Maiga.

WaterFire guests are invited to stop by from 7:00PM – 11:30PM and listen to African rhythms featuring  local master percussionist and djembe player, Sidy Maiga and band AfriManding. Sidy Maïga is a master percussionist from Bamako, Mali, West Africa, who specializes in djembe and dun dun.  Though trained in the complex traditional rhythms of Mali, Sidy is also well versed in Caribbean and hip-hop rhythms.

Learn how to fold a crane with investment bankers at the Fidelity tent from 8pm to 10pm. The highlight of tonight’s ambient music program has to be ‘La Marseillaise’ by Django Reinhardt (both D’s are silent) and Quintette du Hot Club de France at 8:57pm.
