Public Art On Prospect Street

An site-specific art installation is growing on Brown’s front green along Prospect Street. It looks like snow fencing from a distance — and it may well function as such, we’ll see — but artist Orly Genger (B.A. Brown, 2001) is in the process of stacking recycled, painted lobster rope, creating this undulating wall among the elms behind the Van Wickle gate. It should be finished by Wednesday.

(PSA: There is a live feed of the site, so don’t get drunk and naked and stuff.)

An opening reception, Friday at 5:30pm, November 21st, will feature a conversation with the artist at the List Art Center followed by a reception at the site.
