(12.31) No credible sleddable snow? Xbox still a bit hacky? Head over to the Children’s Museum where they have events planned all week, including Rolie Polie Guacamole (shades of Squiggleman) with two shows on Tuesday, December 30th at 1pm and 2pm.
This spirited trio [I count either two or four. BC] from Brooklyn, NY entertains audiences with high-energy interactive shows that mix funk, rock and folk music with humorous original tunes about natural living, eating healthy and staying active.
Hopefully these edifying messages will be buried under a deep-fried layer of goofy entertainment.
From 11am to 2pm on Wednesday, New Year’s Eve day, families are invited to create noisemakers (followed by a lecture on tinnitus?) for parading. The ball drops at noon and 2pm (followed by a lecture on the multiverse and the depressing notion that every New Year’s Eve ball drop that has ever existed, and ever will exist, exists now.) For children ages 4 and up!
All activities are free with $9 admission, Providence Children’s Museum, 100 South Street
