Gallery Night

(3.19) A new season of Gallery Night Providence kicks off tonight. Some new galleries have been added to the route, including Peter Miller Fine Art at 118 South Main Street, 2nd floor. Seen here is a piece from ‘New Perspectives and Natural Intensity’ which runs through April 11.

Bill Van Siclen writes at the ProJo.

One thing that [Art Night co-founder Paula] Martiesian is particularly excited about: the addition of several new galleries and artist-run businesses, including Peter Miller Fine Art, a downtown gallery devoted to contemporary photography, and Five Richmond, an East Side gallery that offers a mix of fine art, antiques and collectibles.

Other newcomers include Lore, a Weybosset Street gallery that showcases works by Rhode Island artists, and Moon Tide Dyers, a Wickenden Street studio specializing in contemporary hand-dyed clothing and fabrics.

Tonight’s special celebrity guide — Mayor Elorza.

5pm to 9pm, Thursday, March 19, Gallery Night Providence
