A closing reception will be held Thursday at the Bell Gallery for the 2015 NCECA Biennial, an international juried exhibition.
From a slate of 1147 entries, the jurors choose fifty works issuing from 22 states and Canada, Hong Kong, Italy, Romania, South Korea and Sweden. Works range from functional pottery to installations with associated video or computer programs.
Jurors this year included Jo-Ann Conklin, Director of the Bell Gallery. Some great stuff here including this disturbing slip cast porcelain creature, Monk, by Janet Macpherson, and the exquisite Urns by Peter Pincus, which would not be out of place somewhere Through the Looking Glass.
The Bell exhibition runs through March 29th.
Reception free and open to the public, 6pm, March 26, Bell Gallery, 64 College Street
