2015 PPS Historic House Tour — Fox Point

This year the PPS Festival of Historic Houses features more than a dozen homes and gardens in the Fox Point area. These are some of the oldest houses in the city. Some history from the ProJo,

The first port in Providence was built at India Point in 1680, near the foot of Transit Street. Harbor development in Fox Point intensified in the 1790s. The sea trade led to dense residential development in the neighborhood, which is surrounded on three sides by water.

Members $30/non-members $40. Buy your festival ticket now through the end of May and save $5; this is a major fundraising event for the Providence Preservation Society (PPS).

Festival of Historic Houses, 10am to 4pm, Saturday, June 13
