[This just in! The Providence Journal reports that Carrie Fisher is a little under the weather and will not be coming to The Con this year. Bummer. BC]
(11.8) Con planners and Convention Center management promise there will not be a repeat of last year’s unpleasantness. Tickets were oversold as if this event was just like the flower show with people cycling through. But Comic Con fans have a tendency to linger and hang out and parade about and pose and stay and stay and stay. Organizers promise things will run smoothly this year.
Events include: Gaming and After Parties. Halo, Call of Duty, etc. with prizes.
Photo-op sessions with Hellboy Group, Walking Dead Group, as well as Henry Winkler, Ralph Macchio, and Ron Perlman is all over this thing.
Cosplay — Please read the cosplay policies. No real weapons like crossbows and water pistols, and no overly revealing attire. If you are asked to cover up, please comply.
Autograph signing — A Bill Fagerbakke is gonna cost ya $40; other artists have not declared and will apparently see what the market can bear.
The panel schedule includes a ‘Cosplay Wig Styling’ workshop, ‘Ride Along with Sons of Anarchy,’ the ‘Voices of Sailor Moon,’ a Q&A with Ron Perlman, and ‘A Celebration of Carrie Fisher!’
