(11.20) Great write-up by Gail Ciampa in today’s ProJo about touring and tasting local breweries. A few are right over the line in Pawtucket — the Bucket Brewery for one.
You’ll find Pawtucket Pail Ale and beers including Hive Mind Honey amber ale and BOG Cranberry-Prange Farmhouse Belgian saison at Bucket, near the Hope Artiste Village. They have lovely flight glasses in which to taste, and even a few bar seats. They had a good choice of beers on a recent Friday night visit. A board for the bag-toss game called cornhole makes for some fun while sipping.
The Bucket Brewery is of special interest this week because the ‘Mericans will be playing the final Friday Night Sound Check of the year. (Each show includes four beer sample tickets and entry into swag raffles.)
Admission is $15 which includes beer and a tour of the brewery. If you pay an extra $5 you get extra beer and a souvenir glass.
Also, Pat’s Pastured will be serving brats. All are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
Doors 6pm, show 7pm to 9pm, Friday, November 20, Bucket Brewery, 100 Carver Street, Pawtucket, 401.305.0597, (directions)
