(6.25) The Ocean State BBQ Festival takes place Friday and Saturday at the Steel Yard. Live music both days with: the Quahogs, Frankie Ranks, the Silks, the Red Pennys, and more.
Smoke-Off Award Ceremony Saturday at 5pm. Four categories of competition: Brisket, Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Chicken. Competitors in the smoke-off required in all categories to smoke overnight on-site.
A ticket to the BBQ Fest gains you entry and a complimentary beer or mixed drink ($5 value). Food and more libations are available (cash or card swipe) separately.

Single day ticket — $15 in advance, then $20 day-of at the door
2-day pass — $25 in advance, then $30 day of at the door
Children under 12 are free. Sale of advance tickets ends Friday noon.
[Additional Note: The Little Bitte Cocktail crew has come up with some BBQ compatible drinks. Rumor has it they will garnish your Bloody Mary with a garlic scape. Who knew? BC]
