Woony River Ride

(9.17) A lot is happening around town this weekend. Let’s start with the 7th Annual Woony River Ride Bike-a-Thon. Get on your bike and explore the Woonasquatucket River — from Providence throughout the Woonasquatucket Watershed.

Last year’s Woony Ride was a success! We had over 300 participants who helped us raise over $22,000 to help support our youth programs, including Red Shed, environmental restoration, bike path maintenance, and future extensions to the Woonasquatucket River Bike Path. This year we hope to make our bike-a-thon the best ever.

Pick the route that’s right for you. Here’s the map.

8:00 am – 60-mile ride

9:00 am – 45-mile ride

10:30 am – 30-mile ride

11:00 am – 10-mile ride

11:30 am – 5-mile ride or walk

It’s a fully supported ride ending with an after-party at Waterplace Park — live music, food, and prizes for fundraisers.

Saturday, September 17, Waterplace Park, 1 Financial Way, (directions)
