Pieces from RISD’s Illustration Faculty are up now through November 30 at the ISB Gallery facing on the Canal Walk.
Seen here is ‘The Kirklands’ by Kelly Murphy and ‘Jacobs Point’ by Nick Jainschigg. Also showing is Rhode Island native Mary Jane Begin of My Little Pony fame. She has two paintings from ‘The Dragons on Dazzle Island’ in the show. Her deeply saturated watercolor/pastel works glow and shimmer, but were hard to photograph. I am a big fan.
The oil-on-board ‘American Gods’ (seen below) was a book cover executed by Chris Buzelli for The Dream Book Covers show.
