(12.4) Not only is the International House having a crafts and food sale, but right down the street on the opposite side, Cub Scout Troup (or is it a Pack?) 88 is selling Christmas trees (in the back of Central Congo but entrance is on Stimson). Saturday and Sunday for both events.
For the uninitiated, International House of Rhode Island represents everything that is kind and generous in the American spirit.
Founded in 1963 by Bili and Gil Mason, who recognized the need to create a “home-away-from-home” for international visitors and scholars in Rhode Island. Reaching out to community volunteers, international and American students and faculty, and to leaders and representatives of educational institutions, social service agencies, civic organizations and businesses
The Christmas tree sale is being manned by volunteers of course. They know they will be open tonight, Saturday, until 6pm (and hopefully until 8pm). Sunday the hours will be 10am to 4pm. I stopped by to get this info and saw a few trees heading out — quality goods!
Kind of late on this one, sorry.
International House holiday sale, 10am to 4pm, Sunday, December 4, 8 Stimson Avenue, (directions)
