Meet Ward 3 Candidates — Rochambeau Library

(7.6) Meet the candidates for this year’s special election for Providence City Council at this free public forum in the Rochambeau Library. (Facebook event page.)

A special election has been called to elect a new councilmember for Ward 3, which covers
the northern East Side. The primary election is coming up on July 12, and the candidates who survive the primary will meet on August 16.

This public forum, sponsored by Rhode Island Rights, will help residents learn more about where the candidates stand. Dan McGowan of WPRI has created a useful guide to the candidates — Democrats Mark Santow, Nirva Rebecca LaFortune, and Daniel Chaika will compete in the Democratic primary on July 12, with the winner taking on Republican David Lallier Jr. and Independent Chris Reynolds (who is not participating in the forum) in the general election.

6:45pm, Thursday, July 6, Rochambeau Library, 708 Hope Street, (directions)
