Geek Dinner At AS220

(7.19) This month at Providence Geeks:

At the July Providence Geeks, Rhode Island Museum of Science & Art (RIMOSA) Founder and Executive Director Bonnie Epstein will join us to talk about the museum. Many of you have seen RIMOSA’s pop-up exhibits at WaterFire, RI Mini Maker Faire, Foo Fest, Providence Children’s Film Festival and other events. On June 10, RIMOSA officially opened the doors of their new west end site at 763 Westminster Street. Come and learn about RIMOSA’s past, present, and future, and experience a few of the hands-on experiences they are known for.

This will be a kid-friendly evening. Doors open at 5:30pm. Socializing, eating, and drinking up until the 15-minute presentation/Q&A around 6:30pm. Afterwards, back to socializing, eating, drinking.

(Seen here is a gizmo called The Wooden Wave at RIMOSA.)

Free, 5:30pm to 8pm, Wednesday, July 19, AS220, 115 Empire Street, (directions)
