The Galleries of the Providence Art Club will host a new group exhibition featuring abstract artist Mary Dondero, watercolor artist William Heydt, Johanna McKenzie, and furniture maker Timothy Philbrick. The opening reception will be held Sunday, October 1.
On view in the Dodge House abstract painter Theresa Girard will be featured in her first solo show at the Providence Art Club titled ‘a degree of curiosity.’
The Galleries are always free and open to the public. This group show runs through October 20 (closed Columbus Day).
Seen here is Club Chair by Timothy Philbrick made of claro walnut and Italian calf skin. I am not sure whether chairs will be among the furnishings in the show . . . I just love his chairs.
Gallery hours: Weekdays, noon to 4pm; Weekends, 2pm to 4pm.
