(10.7) For those who enjoyed exploring and poking about last week on the Doors Open tour, here’s another opportunity. Over a dozen properties will be opening their doors to West Broadway Neighborhood Association (WBNA) house tour ticket holders. This self-guided tour explores the theme “From Vacant to Vibrant,” and features homes and businesses around Knight, Brighton, Battey, and Carpenter Streets, as well as West Fountain, one of the last surviving cobble-stoned streets in the city. Don’t miss the recently installed horse fountain in front of the Avery. (Facebook event page.)
For $20 you’ll be invited to step inside an eclectic mix of different houses – historic and modern, affordable and market-rate, repurposed industrial and restored Victorian – in and around Luongo Memorial Square. Along the tour route, discover a lively scene of restaurants, shops, bars, and businesses at your own pace.
Pick up your tickets and the guide booklet at the Welcome Center — open all day from 9:30am to 3:30pm — located at the Providence Revolving Fund on West Fountain Street. Tickets $20 in advance. Order here.
