(11.5) The Daylight Saving debate rages on. Our New England neighbors have all been weighing the benefits of moving into the Atlantic Time Zone (effectively, daylight saving year-round). State Rep. Blake Filippi (R-Block Island) has been spearheading the movement here in Rhode Island.
In Massachusetts, a legislative panel spent months examining the pros and cons of effectively establishing daylight saving time year-round, which would eliminate the practice of setting clocks forward and back twice every year. It is generally agreed this would only work if we all do it.
Seen here is the clock in the RISD Library on Westminster Street.
Daylight Saving Time ends tonight, Sunday, November 5, at 2am. Check the government clock for exact time. The sun will set Sunday at 4:35pm.
