(1.12) Head over to the World’s Fair Gallery on Broadway Friday evening for the opening of ‘Birds of a Feather,’ new drawings by Alexa Guariglia.
The artist uses gouache and ink to pull line from abstraction into figurative tableaux both fantastic and subjective: reclining silhouettes, birds in flight, a playful dog — each image a story and an arresting map of a mind at home in the sea of her imagination.
