Summer Comics Camps At Libraries

The Providence Comics Consortium is holding Comics Camps throughout the spring and summer. If you know kids ages 7 to 12 (ish) who need to make some comics check this out.

In May the camps are being held at the Washington Park and Olneyville Libraries. From the Providence Community Libraries Facebook page,

Another great series of comics workshops from Walkeer Mettlling and Providence Comics Consortium, suitable for all skill levels. The twice weekly classes will be at Washington Park Library and Olneyville Library. Sign up quickly — space is limited.

One poster indicates that the Washington Park Library has a “Loose drop-in style.” Another poster (below) from the Comics Consortium Facebook page states that “All Comics Camps are Monday through Friday for 2 weeks. We’ll pencil, ink and print our own comic books! Can you dig it? Camps are FREE, but space is limited!”

They further suggest you call the library to sign up. They will know what’s going on. And we are with the pony on this one, “Thanks RISCA!”
