(5.12) Bring your appetite and a tote this Saturday to the Pilotworks PVD Spring Market. Pilotworks is a shared commercial kitchen and culinary incubator located in a swell old mill complex with lots of room for shopping and sitting and snacking. Should the weather cooperate, there are outdoor seating areas as well. And maybe you will be inspired to revive Grandma’s penuche recipe and bring it to market. (I am convinced that penuche is poised for a big comeback. Then again, I was wrong about coffee jello.) From the Facebook event page (which also includes a list of the vendors so far).
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon sampling local food makers’ delicious offerings, listening to tunes (supplied by Paul Bedrosian), playing bocce, having a drink (From the Troop tent) & buying art and other handmade goods from regional artists & makers (juuuuuust in time for Mother’s Day)!
We wrote up the Holiday Market last December with a little background as to why there is a massive, original, hand-washing stand full of collectible souvenir spoons when you walk in. The kids found it fascinating. The spoons were not for sale.
Noon to 3pm, Saturday, May 12, Pilotworks, 55 Cromwell Street, (directions)
