Community Picnic At WFAC

(6.2) To celebrate the last weekend of Ryan Mendoza’s The Rosa Parks House Project exhibition, the WaterFire Arts Center is hosting a Community Picnic Party and Concert from noon to 5pm on Saturday.

With food provided by Amos House and special performances by Rose Weaver, Len Cabral and Valerie Tutson of the Rhode Island Black Storytellers, Grupo Ondas Capoeira, Kim Trusty, Braxton Mason, the Manton Ave Project, and more.

The family-friendly event starts at noon and is free and open to the public. Lunch is on us! Bring a picnic blanket and join us on the “front lawn” of the Rosa Park House Project and help us honor Rosa Parks as we learn about and celebrate her life and accomplishments!

For details and the performance schedule here.
