(7.7) The 3rd Annual Ocean State BBQ + Bands Festival is this weekend, celebrating all that’s locally grilled and smoked by RI based BBQ joints, with local brews, great music, and activities for kids. Rain or shine. No dogs.
Four team competition categories: Brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and ribs. All teams are required to smoke on-site overnight in all four categories. BBQ awards (cash prizes as well as glory) will be announced by MC Bob at 4:30pm on Saturday. (Facebook event page.) The schedule of live music is as follows:

Saturday, July 7, noon to 10pm
Teledynes, the Low Cards, Z-Boys, the quahogs, DJ Ty Jesso, Matthew Stubbs and the Antiguas, Deadlands, the Shacklehands
No dogs allowed per order of the Health Department. Children under 12 free.
