Celebrate the opening of the AS220 Archives in the Grand Hall of the Providence Public Library this Wednesday. The festivities will include music, performance, an art installation, and a view of some of the treasures included in the Archives. (Enter on Washington Street side.)
Following a several-month archival project, our Special Collections Department has officially opened the AS220 Archives to the public for research. The organizational archives of AS220 encompass over 30 years of organizational records, including the creative output of artists, performers and musicians who have used their venues to create and showcase their work.
A ‘Marching Mob’ will proceed from the library over to 95 Empire Street, where the party will continue. (Facebook event.)
