Annual Woony River Bike-A-Thon

(9.15) The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council is hosting its 9th annual Woony River Ride Bike-a-Thon. On September 15th, bikers can choose to ride a 60, 45, 30, or 10-mile bike route, or opt for the 5-mile bike and walking route. Online registration is now closed but you can still register the day of; arrive at Waterplace Park, 1 Finance Way, 1/2 hour before start time to get set up.

The Woony Ride brings out family, friend, and co-worker cyclists from all over the region to enjoy the splendor of the Woonasquatucket River. It’s a fully supported ride, and it ends with an after-party at Waterplace Park in Downtown Providence–live music, food, and awesome prizes for fundraisers.

Different rides leave at different times:

8am — 60-mile Metric Century ride

9am — 45-mile ride

10:30am — 30-mile ride

11am — 10-mile ride

11:30 am — 5-mile ride or walk

$55 for adults, $25 per family member for families, and $30 for youth 14 to 24. This event benefits the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council.
