With the help of trusty sidekick, artist and designer Jason Tranchida, Providence’s premiere public intellectual (I am trying to revive the concept), Matthew Lawrence,* will be kicking off the holiday party season with music and cheese balls and unusual items for sale.
Hopefully you know by now that Headmaster throws a good holiday party, but this year we’re opening up our studio for a little (or maybe not-so-little) get-together where you can also shop for stuff from the Headmaster archives. Magazines, prints, limited edition things that you have probably never seen before, and stuff from the Headshoppe archives. One night only!
Resident DJ Spartina szczePANIK! will be playing records and we’re serving up punch and maybe some big cheese balls or something. Expect surprises that will knock your stockings off.
*Matthew Lawrence is the spelling bee guy who you may also remember once jumped off a 12-story building like a crazy person just to raise money for Providence Community Libraries. He’s smart and funny and has lots of interesting friends, so this should be fun. He and Jason are the co-founders and editors of Headmaster, the bi-annual art magazine for man-lovers.
