(6.9) Yay! One of these. Italian aerial dance performance troupe, eVenti Verticali, will perform multiple times on the Spectacle Stage throughout the weekend as part of this summer’s PVDFest, our annual celebration of music, art, food, and whatever this is.

Each year, FirstWorks curates a spectacle for PVDFest that creates indelible memories! Born from a dream of dancing on a flying wall, Quadro is a stage suspended high in the air from a construction crane. Direct from Italy, eVenti Verticali bring their stunning blend of theatre, circus acrobatics, dance, music, comedy and new media on aerial stages, for a stunning PVDFest highlight featured on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

This will be Quadro’s United States premiere. The extensive schedule runs from June 6-9 at various venues around downtown. Random highlights include:

Thursday, June 6 — Bike the Night (with the Mayor), Looping Celluloid, Citywide Goodnight Lights!

Friday, June 7 — Salsa dancing, Africa’s first female kora virtuoso Sona Jobarteh, Circus Dynamics

Saturday, June 8 — Ricardo Pitts-Wiley, Amy the Mime, a Lego installation, Food Village from noon to 11pm, Machine Dazzle Hat and Sash Workshop Parade costume making, Mini Maker Faire, Community MusicWorks at the Strand

Sunday, June 9 — Syncopated Ladies all-female tap squad sensation, Mini Maker Faire, various musicians all around including the School of Rock kids at noon
