‘3 From Hell’ On The Big Screen

(10.14) First there was “House of 1,000 Corpses,” followed in 2005 by “The Devil’s Rejects,” now comes the third in Rob Zombie’s triptych of torment, “3 From Hell.”  And you can see it on the big screen this Monday at the mall cinema. The Roger Ebert review gave it four stars, adding:

“3 from Hell” has moments of abject horror, but fans of Zombie’s autumnal provocations will be rewarded with his most earnest and laid back nightmare yet. The wounds are still deep, the screams still linger, but for the first time, it’s an uncomplicated pleasure to live in his jagged compositions, basking in the chummy rapport of monsters. It’s taken almost two decades but Zombie’s hell-on-earth is finally preferable to the world in which we live.

This encore event will feature an intro from Rob, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film, and a brand-new commemorative poster — detail seen here — while they last! (Only 100 posters per location: first come, first serve.)

Look for Chaz Bono as Digby Neville.

Rated R. Running time: 2 hours, 30 minutes. (This presumably includes the featurette and Rob’s intro.)

$16, 7pm, Monday, October 14, Prov Place Cinema, downtown, (directions)
