Stop by the URI downtown campus and check out “Radical Women” an exhibit inspired by women’s history month.
With art in all media by 30 area women artists exploring Women’s rights issues today on the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. The exhibit features a series of panels about the history of Women’s Rights.
The exhibit occupies the first and second floor lobby galleries. I realize now that I know at least three of the artists and I didn’t find any of them. Gotta go back.
Gallery Night Reception: 5pm to 9pm, Thursday, March 19. The building can be accessed from the Westminster Street side.
Seen here is Untitled Pearls by Roberta Uhlmann (with the Peerless Lofts across the street).
Closed weekends, exhibit runs through March 26, URI Providence Campus, 80 Washington Street, (directions)
