Event Planning

Given a shocking absence of epidemiological blogging protocols on file, it became necessary for the Providence Daily Dose to call an emergency meeting of the Subcommittee on Contagion. We came up with the following thoughts: Since much of our content consists of “upcoming events,” and those are getting canceled faster than they we can type*, we will need our readers to be a little more . . . proactive.

In the grand scheme of things this is pretty unimportant, but we don’t want to send people to nonexistent events. We will include links to the Facebook event pages wherever they exist and then readers can click on “going” or “interested” and get notifications directly from the source.

We have sent the interns home (well . . . they aren’t here) and we are not sure we will be able to keep up. Feel free to write in, or comment, with relevant information that can be verified.

If this keeps up, springtime recipes! I once nixed a piece about composting diapers; I may revisit that decision. Thank you for your patience. And take care.
