Watch Rhody Beer Documentary Now

“The Craft: Rhode Island,” a behind-the-scenes look into Rhode Island’s booming craft beer industry, had its nationwide release today. This 2019 RI International Film Festival Grand Prize Winner can now be watched on demand on cable systems including Cox, Verizon and Xfinity.

Directed by David L. Ricci of media and marketing firm, Eleven Design, the 66-minute film is also available on DVD and Blu-Ray, with 25 minutes of bonus footage. Gail Ciampa writes in the ProJo:

It captures the passion of the brewers and the enthusiasm of the consumers. It’s a happy story that weaves together the many independent brewers in a communal thread. They may all have built their breweries by taking different paths, but they have much in common. They are a creative lot and brewing beer is the way they’ve chosen to communicate that.

. . . Old ’Gansett commercials will charm anyone, not just the old-time Boston Red Sox ones but other, less seen classics.

If you’ve never heard the story of how Narragansett company illustrations in the 1930s were drawn by Theodore Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, you’ll enjoy the story from Jim Crooks, vice president of sales and marketing for Narragansett.

Ciampa has an update on all the breweries featured in the movie many of whom have been making moves since filming.

Pour yourself a beer and settle in.
