This place is huge. No date set for the opening of the new Farm Fresh RI Food Hub on Kinsley Avenue, but they seem to be on target for sometime “in the Fall.” Work certainly seems to be moving along — lots of activity the other day. This will be the new home of the winter farmers market, and much more.
Farm Fresh RI has developed a purpose-designed 60,000 sq. ft. facility on the corner of Kinsley Ave and Sims Ave in the Valley neighborhood of Providence. Half of the space will house Farm Fresh RI’s programs and operations, including a year-round farmers market. Remaining space will be leased to food and farm-related small businesses. The site includes a half-acre of publicly accessible greenspace featuring beautiful sustainable, native plantings.

The site is on the corner of Sims Avenue, right across from the new ISCo distillery and the Steel Yard. Across Kinsley is the improved Greenway along the Woonasquatucket River, with a path and benches.
