National Voter Registration Day

(9.22) What are you waiting for? Today is National Voter Registration Day, so do it now. Go to the RI Secretary of State Voter Information Center now. Here are the important dates:

Election day is November 3rd.
Registration deadlines:
Online: October 4
By mail: Postmarked by October 4.
In person: October 4.
Absentee ballot deadlines:
Return by mail: Received by November 3.

Return in person: November 3rd by 8pm.

Early voting: October 14 through November 2.

In the 20 days leading up to Election Day, you can vote in person at your city or town hall during their regular business hours. This is a great option if you are unable to vote at your usual polling place on Election Day, or if you have run out of time to request a mail ballot.

Go here to check on, or change, your voter status.

(Mail ballot application deadline is October 13th, but Secretary of State Gorbea announced that they will be automatically sent out to all active voters. They have started showing up in mail boxes.)
