(9.26) The sixth annual Ocean State Oyster Festival is happening. Celebrate locally grown Rhode Island oysters fresh out of the water served up by Walrus & Carpenter Oysters, Salt Pond Oysters, Quonnie Rock Oysters, Matunuck Oysters, East Beach Oyster Farm, and the 401 Oyster Company.
Two hour sessions of All-You-Can-Eat oysters from six select RI oyster farms, plus cash bar & grill and all-star DJs at the Trinity Beer Garden at Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence.
All tickets sold in advance, no tickets at the door. Seating is limited/reservation-only. Cash bar & grill available for purchase at the event. Ticket sales close 5pm Friday, September 25.
Whalers East Coast IPA and APA Rise will be on tap. Music provided by DJs Gregor & Nick de Paris, Ty Jesso, and Unkle Thirsty. As to keeping you safe:
Covid-19 protocols will be strictly followed including 30 minute gaps between seating sessions for cleaning and disinfecting all tables, seats, and surfaces. Hand washing stations will be on site and festival attendees will be required to wear masks at all times except when seated.

The Ocean State Oyster Festival seeks to raise awareness and celebrate Rhode Island’s aquaculture industry, provide a platform that expands the aquaculture economy, and educate the public about the importance of environmental sustainability of Narragansett Bay and surrounding estuaries.
