(10.24) You may have seen these walking around town and wondered How can I get one of these shirts? I want to look cool and represent. Bad Taste owner Longston designed these and many other cool shirts, hoodies, and totes, all of which will be for sale Saturday at his “Epic Yard Sale.”
Crazy bargains! Cheap toys! $5 shirts. Cheap art anything! Etc. and stuff.
More. Come on down to funky town.
We first wrote about Bad Taste when they opened in the Arcade downtown. Following a squeeze play by the landlord, Longston moved the operation to The Plant on Valley Street. Then came the quarantine and all that. But you may have seen Bad Taste (which is also the name of the clothing line) at the Providence Flea and he maintains a robust online presence.
And on Saturday, Longston is throwing a yard sale. This is the same courtyard where one finds Riff Raff Bookstore and Bar and Troop. It is wide open and roomy, but you will have to decide if you are comfortable with the mask-wearing and distancing.
I don’t know what the other vendors may have for sale, but Bad Taste usually carries vintage tees (sports, wrestling, classic rock, Polo, etc.), and pop culture vintage like action figures, baseball and basketball cards, comics. Check it out on IG @badtastepvd.
Long suggests you grab a mimosa at Troop and do some browsing. Wear a mask!
