Ted Leo, Live From The Columbus Starts

“I guess we’re a TV studio now?” Looks like. The Columbus Theatre will be hosting four live stream performances (four different shows) featuring singer-songwriter Ted Leo starting this Thursday. This announcement comes from the Columbus director of programming, Tom Weyman:

“Ted Leo Presents” a brand new, dynamic music show featuring Ted Leo filmed LIVE in living color from the Columbus Theatre in Providence, RI. Album cuts! Rarities! Covers! New stuff! Featuring a variety of special guests, music videos and much more. The first of four shows starts Thursday, October 29th and are on sale NOW.

Ted Leo recorded six studio albums with the Pharmacists before going solo, touring and recording with Aimee Mann for a while there. Leo’s done a lot of stuff with a lot of people, and in 2005, he settled down Rhode Island. In another 35 years he can start calling himself a Rhode Islander (look . . . thems the rules).

Go here to sign up for October 29, November 5, November 12, or November 19. Or the four-show package. It is a different show on each date. The 72-hour rebroadcast allows you to watch your purchase for three days. Damn good value.

First show features special guest, Tawny Newsome.

Ted Leo Presents, broadcasts start at 9pm, eastern time. Cost is $15, fees not included.
