Fine Furnishings At WFAC

(11.8) The annual Fine Furnishings Show will celebrate 25 years this weekend at the WaterFire Arts Center. The show features furniture, textiles, and ceramics, and most exhibitors seem to be from Providence, Pawtucket, and nearby New England.

Organizers are confident that this spacious facility, with all those windows and doors, can be used to create a safe experience, with cooperation from you, the customer. They ask: Wear a mask, practice social distancing, follow the one-way aisles, wash your hands, shop with your eyes and voice, and ask permission to touch exhibitor’s work.

Friday, 5pm to 9pm.

Saturday, 10am to 6pm.

Sunday, 10am to 4pm.

Food trucks will be on the premises and there is no sales tax on purchases of handmade items at the show. Lots of free parking. Go here for the list of 2020 exhibitors.

The image here is from one of this weekend’s vendors, Gather Glass on Atwells Avenue (right next to Nolan’s Pub). This studio is still open and accepting students. I had an intro blowing tutorial and it was a blast. Dress in layers  . . . or hardly at all.

$10, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, November 6-8, WFAC, 475 Valley Street, (directions)
