I can’t wait to get inside this building. Seen here is the Providence Public Library’s 1953 auditorium, completely renovated with an Art Deco look and fully ADA compliant. New features in the 255-seat space include a lift to the stage and state-of-the-art sound and lighting. (The sound system got a test drive this summer with a screening of Star Wars and blew everybody away.) Someday . . .
In the meantime, you can gift a nameplate on a seat in the new Farish Auditorium this holiday season! With a gift of $250, your loved one’s legacy (pets included!) will be etched into PPL history and you’ll be directly supporting the Library’s Annual Fund.
The auditorium has been named for Donald J. Farish — president of Roger Williams University from 2011 to 2018 — in recognition of his strong commitment to the educational partnership between the university and the library dating back to 2014.
