(5.1) The Hope Street Farmers Market in Lippitt Park starts this Saturday, May 1st. I don’t know if ramps are still in season, but I had this picture. Go here for ‘what’s available.’
The Hope Street Farmers Market is a farmer-run cooperative created and managed by many of the best farmers and food artisans in Rhode Island. We sell fruits, vegetables, flowers, cheese, breads and pastries, pasture-raised meats, seafood, poultry and eggs, and many other items that we grow, make or raise ourselves.
And go here for a list of vendors. Bicycle valet and live music not available until further notice. Covid protocols will be in place. They were doing a great job last season.
Sharpen your tools! (And your knives and scissors.) Seen below is Cory Pacheco of Slow Hand Sharpening applying the Dremel to my pruners. (Cory has been at the Farm Fresh Hub, but moves to Hope Street for the summer.)
The Sims Market at the Farm Fresh Hub runs year round. (They don’t use an apostrophe and neither does the AP Style book.)
9am to 1pm, Saturday, May 1, Lippitt Park, 1015 Hope Street, (directions)
