Hope for the best — prepare for the worst. There were at least two dozen of these rigs, along with several support vehicles, gathering in their usual staging area. If your power gets knocked out, help will be on the way.
The crews I spoke with had traveled up from Tennessee and Kentucky. I was super friendly and hospitable: I always go overboard with Southerners so they can’t say Northerners are rude.
