(3.30) There’s your comfort food trifecta right there: fried chicken, collards, mac ‘n’ cheese. Head downtown this Wednesday to help celebrate the first anniversary of Kin Southern Table and Bar on Washington Street.
Kin specializes in Southern Comfort food – “Soul Food.” Popular menu items include their delicious fried chicken wings, catfish, handmade biscuits with honey butter and collard greens with smoked turkey and Potlicker. The rum-focused bar slings fun crafted cocktails like “Juju Juice” and “Black Girl Magic.”
In addition to Kin’s menu, the restaurant will be hosting a chicken wing eating contest for various gifts and prizes. The afternoon will include a performance by the Black Out Drum Squad.
“I am so grateful to have made it through our first year with everyone’s support; especially during Covid”, says owner Julia Broome. “Unfortunately, there are many restaurants that did not. We could not have done it without the help and support of our staff, guests, and Providence.”
Looks like the weather will have warmed up by then. Go here for Kin FB.
