(4.15) Marc Maron is bringing his This May Be the Last Time tour to the Columbus Theatre this Friday. Maron’s wtf podcast is a personal favorite. His guests include comedians, politicians, authors, actors, and musicians — the episode with a hyper Mike Watt was nuts — and frequently make the news: The Secret Service had to secure the air space over Maron’s garage prior to the Obama visit; then there is Sam Elliott’s recent kerfuffle.
I also strongly recommend his highly autobiographical, eponymous IFC show, Maron (the late Sally Kellerman played his mom). Maron later proved his acting chops by playing someone not himself, on GLOW with Alison Brie.
Maron just can’t stop thinking about things, and ruminating, and worrying, and analyzing, and turning it all into super-smart comedy . . . while not eating ice cream.
(All events at the Columbus Theatre will require valid proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for entry (partial doses will not be allowed entry). No exceptions.)
